7 CONTINENTS SUCCESS STORIES

Alice Korkorlarbi is 21 and

has been working with 7

Continents for three years.

She has a three-year-old

daughter, Juliet, who is able

to attend school because of

Alice’s work with 7 Continents.

Alice is thankful to CORM for

providing housing and

education for her and Juliet.

Alice is a sweet presence at

7 Continents and catches on

to new sewing skills quickly.

City of Refuge exists to rescue children out of slavery, to rehabilitate through holistic care, to provide education, opportunity, and love. Check out what we're up to.

Millicent Havor, age 32, worked with CORM in several capacities before joining 7 Continents to learn to sew. Millicent has two children, Kevin (4) and Sarah (nearly 2). Prior to moving to the Children’s Village, Millicent couldn’t support both of

her children so Kevin lived with his grandmother. Now both Kevin and Sarah live with Millicent and Kevin attends Faith Roots International Academy.

Monica Nuvormewor is a 27-year-old mother to two children, Francesca (5) and David (1). Her children’s father has never supported them, and Monica was constantly worried about money

and school fees for her children. Now Francesca is in school at FRIA and Monica is establishing herself as a skilled seam- stress with 7 Continents.

"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute."

Proverbs 31:8

Grace Nartgy, age 43, is one of 7 Continents’ most accomplished seamstresses. She has three children, Henry (24), Davis (13), and Mavis (10). Grace’s husband passed away in 2010. While her youngest children are now attending school, Grace says their life before 7 Continents was difficult, and at times there was not enough food to eat. Grace has also suffered intermittent health problems and working with 7 Continents provides the stability she needs to take care of herself and her family.

Janet Kpenkpena, age 35, can always be found

with a smile on her face. She has two children,

Justice (5) and Joyce (2). Janet is so thankful 7

Continents allowed her and her children to

move to the Children’s Village. When she walked

into her new bedroom there, she smiled in

contentment and noted she hadn’t slept in a real

bed for years. Since moving to the Children’s

Village, Justice has been able to attend school

and Janet is learning to read and write English.

Evelyn Nartay, age 30, is a mother of two. Unlike our other seamstresses, Evelyn is married and commutes to our work location each week. She has two children, Mary (3) and Grace (6 months). Evelyn is already a trained seamstress who dreams of helping other women achieve their goals and dreams.
